DRAWING, PAINTING, OR ILLUSTRATION COMPETITION FOR THE JICA 2026 CALENDAR
The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA Cuba) is holding a drawing competition for children, youth, and adults. The competition aims to highlight the importance of cooperation and environmental stewardship.

The competition rules are detailed below:
1. Competition Topics
• For children ages 10 to 15: "What actions would you take to protect the environment?"
Participants should illustrate their creative ideas and actions for environmental protection and conservation.
• For youth and adults (ages 16 and over): "JICA's Presence in Cuba." Participants should represent how JICA contributes to sustainable development in Cuba, using the work guides available on the JICA Cuba website and its Facebook profile as reference.

2. Technique
• Drawing, Painting, or Digital Illustration.

3. Submission Format
• Drawings and paintings must be submitted on white cardstock, without a frame or lettering.
• If submitted digitally, the resolution must be high enough for printing.
• Size: B5 (176 x 250 mm) or 6.9 x 9.8 inches.
• Attach ANNEX 1 or ANNEX 2, depending on the category you are participating in, to the email to submit your work.

3. Submission Deadline
The deadline for submitting projects is Monday, September 1, 2025. Entries should be sent to Montane-Evelyn@jica.go.jp/cu_oso_rep@jica.go.jp with the subject "JICA 2026 Drawing Competition" or delivered directly to the Miramar Business Center, Jerusalem Building, 2nd Floor, Office 206, 3rd Avenue between 78th and 80th Streets, Miramar, Playa, Havana. 4. Entry Selection
A jury composed of JICA representatives will select the best entries in each category. A total of 12 entries will be awarded and featured in the JICA 2026 calendar.

5. Prizes
Prizes for the selected entries will include:
* Special recognition from JICA.
* Publication of the works in the 2026 calendar.
* Opportunities for future exhibitions.
* Other prizes to be announced during the awards ceremony.

6. Final Considerations
Participation in this contest implies full acceptance of these rules. JICA reserves the right to use the selected works for promotional and educational purposes, always giving credit to the authors.
